In The Novel
What I have learned from my research is that the rapid industrialisation and increase of scientific inovation impacted not just some very logical things like the way some processes in factories were automated, but that it also greately affected our society in many different ways. There is a clear parallel between this information that I have studied, and the way science is projected in the novel. One of the most obvious and extreme examples being the way humans are "born" in Brave New World. The innovations and control that science has given mankind is being taken advantage of to completely regulate a society. Now this fortunately has not happend in real life, but if you read about how much Ford and the way his car-producing company revolutionized the American infrastrucure, how the assembly line changed the way factories operated and what the huge effect of Ford's salary policies was on the middle class, it is not too much of a leap to have science rule and regulate a fictional, dystopian society.
