Quotes

“erotic play between children had been regarded as abnormal (there was a roar of laughter);”

Huxley wrote Brave new world when society was very prude. He protests by creating this absurd situation for the people at the time to learn them to never give in to temptations like this or even consider doing things like this.

“But I don't want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want sin.”

Huxley here describes that there are people who want to free humankind to an absurd level. He protests against this by writing this in his book. “I want sin.” Describes it perfectly.

“...most men and women will grow up to love their servitude and will never dream of revolution.”

Here Huxley says that people become accustomed to their servitude over time and will embrace it rather than to think of revolution.

This is something that Huxley is afraid of.

“A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced, because they love their servitude.”
This is where Huxley again presses that people will love their servitude when the conditions are just right. He reflects here on his previous written chapters and is afraid of what happens if people actually become fine with serving all-powerful executives.

“A love of nature keeps no factories busy.”
Here Huxley states that a love of nature does not keep factories going. Which is true, on one side, but on the other it means that the environment will be completely destroyed. He warns us against it and is afraid that it maybe will happen in the future.
